ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is one of the most common mental disorders of our time, including social (interpersonal) difficulties and communication problems caused by the inability to consider others’ perspectives. Although developmental disorders are congenital, they are often overlooked in children and become apparent in adults. In fact, 3-4% of adults have difficulties in social life due to ADHD, which is why more and more adults are coming to us for a diagnosis. One of the main reasons for this phenomenon is the inability to take care of oneself and the responsibilities and obligations imposed on working adults, such as managing schedules and meeting work deadlines.

In our service, “methylphenidate”, “atomoxetine”, and “guanfacine” are typical drugs approved under Japanese medical law. In particular, “Guanfacine” was newly approved in June 2019. These work to control neurotransmitters in the brain, and both are widely effective for the main symptoms of ADHD, such as “hyperactivity/impulsivity,” “inattention,” and “sensory oversensitivity. We can provide a written diagnosis and prescriptions for medications. Insurance reimbursement may also be available.

From consultations with experienced psychiatrists to quality herbal medications, we offer effective solutions for managing stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, ADHD / developmental disorders, PTSD, and more.

We accept Japanese National Health Insurance for consultations with a typical 30% copay (depending on your insurance plan). Initial appointments range from ¥3500 to ¥6700 (depending on additional tests, prescriptions, etc.), and subsequent visits usually cost around ¥1500. If you were prescribed a medicine in your home country and need a refill, our doctors will do their best to match your prescription to medicines available in Japan. We accept payments with cash, credit cards, and most electronic payment methods (PayPay, QuickPay, etc.)

While our website is mostly in Japanese, we offer many English resources. However, many of our Japanese pages can still be viewed in English with the Google Translate Chrome Extension. We recommend using it if you’d like to browse our Japanese pages for more detailed information regarding types of mental illnesses, our head doctor, and more.

Our flexible scheduling options, including same-day appointments, cater to the needs of busy individuals. We are open on weekends and even most holidays. Trust Roppongi Clinic to meet your mental health needs effectively and compassionately.
